Titles Offered: BH, FPr1-3, UPr1-3, IGP1-3, FH
Venue: To Be Determined
This event will be conducted according to the rules of the UDC and the FCI. Click here to download a copy of the rules. The trial is open to all breeds. Titles earned at this trial will be recognized by all AWDF member clubs and USCA.
All competitors must present a current membership card from an AWDF member club and must present a valid scorebook for the dog to be exhibited. Scorebooks issued by AWDF member clubs are valid.
Effective January 1, 2019, the USCA is no longer a member club of the AWDF; therefore, USCA scorebooks issued on or after January 1, 2019, are not valid for AWDF affiliated trials.
Scorebooks issued by USCA after December 31, 2018, are valid, but must display a validation stamp from the AWDF breed club for the breed of dog to be exhibited.
Please make sure to obtain a valid scorebook from the appropriate AWDF breed or sport club or validate your existing scorebook with the same well in advance of the event.
IGP titles earned at USCA events on or after October 1, 2019, are not recognized by the FCI, the AWDF, or its member clubs, and cannot be used to progress to the next level title. Per guidance dated 8/7/2020 from the USCA Director of Judges Nathaniel Roque, IGP titles earned at FCI affiliated trials under FCI approved judges, including UDC sanctioned trials, are recognized by USCA, and can be used for progression to the next level title at a USCA event.
Special Covid19 Restrictions
Currently North Carolina is in Phase 2.5 reopening, with up to 50 people allowed at an outdoor event. This situation could change between now and November, with the number of people allowed to attend an outdoor event decreasing.
As a result, we will limit entries to accommodate a competitor and their helper. Entries will be accepted on a first come/first serve basis. In the event that our event size must be further limited to due to changes in Covid19 status, we will eliminate the latest entries from the trial with a full refund until we have dropped to a legally acceptable number. If you wish to trial, please enter early to secure your entry into the trial.
In the event that the trial is canceled, all entry fees will be refunded. If you have questions about this policy, please drop us an email with your phone number, and we will call with details.
In order to accommodate as large an entry as possible, each competitor should plan to bring only one additional person.
Social distancing and masks are required for everyone on the trial grounds. Competitors and trial personnel will be required to wear masks during obedience and protection exercises. Additional guidance will be announced.
